Area Sales Manager – Food Processing Machinery

Our client is the largest supplier of food cutting machines in Europe with more than 50 years experience and over 3000 machines installed worldwide. The company has an enviable reputation for excellent build quality, ease of use, short change over times and hygienic design with over 1000 different cutting applications for use within the fruit, vegetable, meat and cheese industries.

The company has a very competitive range of processing machines and consumables and is positioning itself to raise the profile of the brand in the UK and be recognised as the preferred supplier and long term partner to major food processors.

The continued success of the company in Europe has resulted in the need to recruit a high calibre Area Sales Manager to develop sales throughout the UK.

The role will be responsible for developing profitable sales of the company’s products and raising the awareness of the brand in the UK.

This will include managing key account relationships and the new business development strategy in order to achieve pre agreed sales targets in line with company policy.

The candidate we are looking for will have the following skills:

• A dynamic approach to account management and business development and will understand the key skills and levels of organisation and professionalism required for successful territory management.
• Act as an ambassador for the brand and have the ability to work within a small and very focused team all working towards increased profitability and positively raising the profile of the company throughout the UK
• A proven track record of successful territory management and the sale of capital equipment solutions to the food industry
