Our client is a market leading global supplier of flexible packaging solutions for use primarily within the food industry. They have grown the business over the last 5-8 years through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisition and are well positioned for the next stage in their development.
The aim of this role is to further develop and implement the sales strategy throughout Scandinavia to increase turnover, profit and market share in line with the company’s global growth plans.
Key responsibilities
- Reporting to the VP Sales Europe and working as a key member of the European management team you will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy for the Scandinavian region.
- You will manage the activities, performance and ongoing development of the 3 x Regional Sales Managers to grow profitable sales in the region.
- You will work closely with the 5-10 European manufacturing plants to ensure the company is a preferred supplier of flexible packaging materials to key processors and retailers within the Scandinavian food industry.
- Act as an ambassador for the company and be an inspirational and motivational figure head for the business in Scandinavia.
- Meet all agreed targets effectively and efficiently through proactive management.
Person Specification
We are looking to recruit a high calibre sales professional to join the European management team of one of the world’s leading suppliers of flexible packaging solutions.
- Degree level intellect demonstrated by education or experience.
- Personal presence and gravitas to deal with customers at all levels
- In depth understanding of the European flexible packaging market place with a demonstrable track record of success in the sales of packaging solutions to the European food industry.
- Experience in developing multi level multi site key account management strategies to key players in the European Food industry.
- An inspirational leader you will have successfully managed Regional Sales teams to high levels of performance.
The successful candidate will ideally be based in either Sweden or Denmark and will be expected to travel extensively throughout the region
