Our client designs and manufactures packaging machines and complete turnkey packaging line solutions for use within the food industry.

The company is privately owned with an annual turnover of c€100mill with established subsidiaries throughout EMEA.

The continued success in the UK has resulted in the need to recruit a Senior Account Manager to strategically sell major capital projects to key customers in the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Further develop relationships with key accounts in the food sector raising the awareness of the company’s complete product range.
• Develop and execute account management plans at all levels and within all functions.
• Cross sell into existing clients and prospects and introduce new machines and new solutions against established competitors.
• Support the territory sales organisation within this sector in line with key account strategies.
• Act as a member of the wider European sales team in order to further develop relationships with European customers.

Key requirements

• Experience in a senior sales / account management role where you have delivered growth and exceeded expectations.
• Demonstrable track record of selling high value capital equipment solutions into the food, beverage, dairy or brewing sectors.
• A strong minded strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills and a rare tenacity.
• A talented influencer at ease negotiating high value contracts at board level.
• Ideally of graduate level in a technical field.
