Sales Manager - Food Packaging

This privately owned innovative manufacturer of food packaging has sales and manufacturing operations throughout Europe with an extensive customer base in the food industry. Ambitious growth plans and continued success in Holland has resulted in the requirement to recruit an experienced sales person to further maintain existing sales and develop opportunities within food service channels in Holland.

The role

• Reporting to the Regional Sales Director and working as a key member of the European sales team you will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy for key distributors, wholesalers and retailers in the region.
• You will build mutually beneficial partnerships with existing and new customers through strong personnel relationships, excellent service levels and an understanding of customer needs.
• You will establish close contacts with key retailers to ensure the company is a preferred supplier of packaging materials for new business opportunities.
• Crucial to your success in this role will be an in depth understanding of the European food packaging sector.

The requirements

• A demonstrable track record of achievement in the sale of packaging materials in Holland.
• Experience in developing profitable, long term account relationships throughout all levels of an organisation.
• A talented influencer with an acute sense of diplomacy and a strong ability to gain customer insight.
• Performance focused with drive and high energy level coupled with strategic focus and tenacity towards objectives.
• Ideally degree educated with experience of working for an international organisation.
• Experience with MS Office, calculations and keen user of CRM system.
