Product Manager – Product Identification, based UK
The Company
A leading manufacturer of innovative product identification and traceability solutions for household names in food, beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
What did they need?
An internal promotion resulted in the need to recruit a replacement. Candidates were likely to be graduates accustomed to working in an international organisation that champion’s technology based equipment ranges. They would have a dynamic approach coupled with strategic vision and drive to positively influence the future of the business.
It was hoped that the successful candidate would spend c3yrs in this role and then progress within the European structure of the organisation.
What could FRL offer?
Having worked with them for many years we knew the company well and had a good understanding of the culture, products, markets and competition. Having recruited Product Managers for different organisations in Europe, Fidelis were able offer good insight into the possible talent. We drafted the job description, person specification, candidate information pack and advert text.
An online advert running for 3 weeks resulted in a broad cross section of experienced PM’s from a variety of industry sectors. We spent 2 weeks meeting as many suitable candidates as possible before putting together a shortlist of 5 to meet with the newly promoted PM and HR in the UK.
The Result
A text book assignment – the communication and understanding that was established early in the process between Fidelis and the recruiting manager resulted in an enjoyable and successful conclusion.
