Channel Account Manager UK & Ireland – Printing Solutions, based UK
The Company
A European division of a $multi-billion US owned technology group producing high specification printing solutions for industrial, healthcare, retail and automotive sectors.
What did they need?
Manufactured in mainland Europe, the products were historically sold into the UK market through a series of remotely managed distributors ranging in size and market specialisation.
This newly created locally based position would be responsible for appointing, managing and motivating Value Added Resellers and developing a UK & Ireland strategy to promote the full range of products to the end customer.
What could FRL offer?
Fidelis Resourcing had no previous knowledge of the product and no pre-conceived views of the industry sector. However, we had recruited successfully for the group and were approached to propose a solution.
From the briefing process we were able to understand how the product and company were perceived, the routes to market, the personalities involved and what the expectations were over a 3-5 year period.
It was clear that advertising the role on a selection of online recruitment sites and a social networking strategy would attract a wide selection of experienced channel managers from a variety of market sectors.
The Result
5 candidates were invited to attend the 1st round of interviews and the company commented they were confident that all could do the job but 1 stood out in particular. A second interview was quickly set up, conducted and subsequently an offer was made and accepted.
12 months on the candidate is delighted with the move and has exceeded expectations from the client’s perspective. Fidelis continue to recruit for the group.
